Jonas, Norway – Testimonial

Traveling with Tamandua Expeditions to the Peruvian rainforest is truly a unique experience. What Tamandua brings to the table is different from the normal jungle expedition you find in the jungle-towns scattered across South America. And I mean that in a very good way! Paul and his team took us to some really amazing places.

This ecosystem is like no other and walking through it, you get the feeling that humans do not belong here. We also went camping with hammocks and packrafts on Huascar river, a Las Piedras tributary. Sitting in the packrafts on Huascar in the early morning, letting the current take us down-river, we witnessed some of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. What really differentiates Tamandua Expeditions, apart from the amazing places you get to visit, is that Paul and his team are encouraging everyone to take part in the rainforest action – rafting the tributaries, going camping, fishing, solo walks, or swimming – you name it.

You can do it all if you are up for it. Another important aspect is that their abilities to see, hear and smell the animals are top notch, which is crucial if you are going to see any wildlife while you’re there. The Tamandua Expeditions team also has a ton of knowledge about the Amazon as well as rainforest conservation efforts and difficulties.

Thanks again to Paul, Mohsin, Gowri, Patrick and everyone else for making this adventure a memory for life, can’t wait until next time!
